Job summary

Leonardo DRS Land Systems in West Plains, Missouri is seeking an Associate Planner for a 4/10 schedule in a no-telework setting. You will coordinate material deliveries, maintain build plans, and align with the Master Production Schedule.

The ideal candidate has an Associate’s degree or equivalent, strong Excel and MS Office skills, and experience with MRP and production planning. You will generate reports, support program offices and help optimize supply chain operations.

• Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with MRP systems and production planning.
• Strong understanding of business processes and inter-relationships.

Responsibilities

• Drive consistent communications between planning, project accounting, and project management for Material EACs and Execution Charts.
• Create documentation to plan material deliveries and monitor the supply chain.
• Consolidate demand for purchase requisitions.
• Create purchase requisitions based on the Master Production Schedule.
• Create reports for program office, customer visits and management.
• Maintain manufacturing build plans on a daily basis.
• Highlight critical parts and issues that may affect the MPS.
• Coordinate engineering changes with purchasing and production; disposition obsolete material.

Job Responsibilities

• Drive consistent communications between planning, project accounting, and project management for consistent project Material EAC’s and Execution Charts
• Create appropriate documentation to plan material deliveries and monitor the supply chain
• Consolidate demand for purchase requisitions
• Create purchase requisitions based on the Master Production Schedule
• Create reports for distribution to program office, customer visits and management.
• Maintain manufacturing build plans on a daily basis
• Highlight critical parts and any issue, which may keep operations from meeting the MPS
• Coordinate engineering changes with purchasing and production. Ensure disposition of obsolete material
• Support, communicate and defend the mission, values and culture of the company

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Understanding of business processes and functional inter-relationships
• Background in project material management
• Solid experience in production planning
• Skilled in the use of Excel, Excel Pivot Tables, Power Point, Word, as well as Sharepoint
• Good understanding of MRP systems
