Associate Physician, Division of Urogynecology
MaineHealth Medical Group Women’s Health is seeking a Fellowship-trained Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery board-eligible/board-certified Urogynecologist to join the Division of Urogynecology in Portland, Maine.
The Division of Urogynecology is the most comprehensive center in Maine for the diagnosis and treatment of incontinence, prolapse and other pelvic floor disorders. The program’s highly skilled and compassionate team of specialists includes 2 BC Urogynecologists, a vulvovaginal specialist, 3 FNPs, and has collaborative ties to colorectal surgeons and gastroenterologists who provide comprehensive care for female pelvic floor disorders.
MaineHealth Maine Medical Center-Portland's Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology offers specialty and sub-specialty health care services within the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is actively involved in research and education, as well as providing quality clinical care. In addition to Urogynecology, sub-specialties include Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Gynecologic Oncology, Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility, Pediatric & Adolescent Gynecology, and Complex Family Planning services.
The candidate is expected to have completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology, an accredited fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery and be board-eligible/board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. In addition to excellent clinical skills, the ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment in a large, dynamic health system. The ideal candidate would also have a strong interest in teaching (UME/GME). The position involves an academic appointment at Tufts University School of Medicine.
