MaineHealth Medical Group Women’s Health is seeking an experienced, Fellowship-trained Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery board-certified Urogynecologist to serve as the Associate Medical Director for the Division of Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery in Portland, Maine.
The Division of Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery is the most comprehensive center in Maine for the diagnosis and treatment of incontinence, prolapse, and other pelvic floor disorders. The team includes 2 BC Urogynecologists, a vulvovaginal specialist, 3 FNPs, and collaborates with colorectal surgeons and gastroenterologists to provide comprehensive care for female pelvic floor disorders.
MaineHealth Medical Center-Portland's Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology offers specialty and sub-specialty health care services, is involved in research and education, and provides quality clinical care. Sub-specialties include Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Gynecologic Oncology, Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility, Pediatric & Adolescent Gynecology, and Complex Family Planning services.
The candidate should be board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Extensive experience in medical and surgical management of pelvic floor disorders is required. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, leadership qualities, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team. An interest in teaching (UME / GME) is desirable, with an academic appointment at Tufts University School of Medicine and opportunities to oversee education in pelvic floor disorders and urogynecology.
