Hours: Monday – Friday, working an 8-hour shift during business hours of 8am – 8pm CST with a rotating Saturday shift (9am-6pm CST) every 3-4 weeks

You will enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Conduct inbound and outbound calls for program requirements, including medication adherence outreach, reminder calls, prescription refill calls, and provider follow-up in a call center environment.
  2. Complete calls/assignments and ensure census management, productivity, weekly and monthly standards are met.
  3. Exhibit excellent phone and communication skills while providing accurate information to customers.
  4. Respond to escalated inquiries from all communication channels: task queues, portal, claim queue, documentation platform.
  5. Review prescription claims documentation and maintain eligibility information confidentially.
  6. Support internal staff and providers with Medicare drug-related issues; request additional information via correspondence to complete applications.
  7. Provide clerical and administrative support to clinical staff and managers for studies, projects, and reports.
  8. Adhere to schedule and quality metrics.
  9. Offer excellent customer service as a resource to internal and external customers.
  10. Participate in and contribute to pharmacy quality improvement initiatives.
  11. Assist in training new hires and internal staff.
  12. Attend required meetings and participate in committees as needed.
  13. Demonstrate organizational, customer service, verbal, and written communication skills with patients, physicians, clinical staff, providers, and managers.
  14. Maintain professionalism in conduct and appearance.
  15. Maintain confidentiality of patient and coworker information.
  16. Comply with organizational policies and ethical business practices.
  17. Work independently with some supervision.
  18. Adhere to all department policies and procedures.
  19. Work any schedule between 8am-8pm CST with rotating Saturday shifts (9am-6pm CST) every 3-4 weeks.
  20. Perform other duties as assigned.
  21. Must reside in a location with access to UnitedHealth Group-approved high-speed internet or leverage existing service.

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED or higher
  • 6+ months of administrative support experience
  • 6+ months of experience in a pharmacy/medical/healthcare setting
  • 6+ months of call center experience
  • 6+ months of medical terminology knowledge
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to work an 8-hour shift between 8am-8pm CST, with possible future Saturday shifts
  • Access to a dedicated, private work area with secure internet connection (if applicable)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified or Registered Pharmacy Technician
  • Certified Medical Assistant (training or certification)
  • 2+ years in a pharmacy setting
  • 2+ years in a physician’s clinic or hospital
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish

The salary range for this role is $16.00 to $28.85 per hour, based on full-time employment, experience, and other factors. Benefits include comprehensive packages, incentive programs, stock purchase options, and 401k contributions.
