The Opportunity

Apogem Capital is seeking an Associate / Senior Associate to support growth of its private equity Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs) platform. The role focuses on portfolio analytics, construction insights, and reporting across SMA mandates. This high‑impact position works with Investment, Client Service, and Operations teams and external managers.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and deliver analytics for portfolio construction decisions, including pacing, sizing, sector exposure, and risk management.
• Build and maintain cash flow and NAV forecasting models for SMA planning and liquidity management.
• Monitor deployment pacing across SMA portfolios to ensure adherence to investment guidelines.
• Perform benchmarking and performance attribution analysis, providing actionable insights to Portfolio Managers and Senior Leadership.
• Develop analytical tools and models to evaluate historical performance.
• Oversee data integrity of portfolio metrics such as performance, NAV, commitments, and cash flows.
• Partner with Portfolio Managers and Client Service teams to support client reporting and prospective SMA materials.
• Collaborate with Investment, Operations, and Data teams to improve analytical frameworks.
• Lead initiatives to automate processes, enhance data infrastructure, and reduce manual workflows.
• Support special projects aimed at scaling the SMA platform and improving operational efficiency.

What You’ll Bring

• 2–4+ years of experience in private equity, asset management, fund administration, or accounting with exposure to private markets.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, experience in portfolio analytics, modeling, and performance analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel; strong PowerPoint skills.
• Experience with data systems or database management (preferred).
• Familiarity with private markets technology such as DealCloud or iLevel.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently and collaboratively.
• High attention to detail and proactive problem‑solving mindset.
• Interest in leveraging technology to improve processes and build scalable solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, data analytics, economics, accounting, or related field.

Pay Transparency

Salary range: $125,000 – $150,000. Overtime eligible: Exempt. Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes. Sales bonus eligible: No.
