UnitedHealth Group in Las Vegas is seeking an Associate Patient Care Coordinator to support clinic operations, including patient registration, insurance verification, and scheduling of diagnostic and follow-up appointments.

The role emphasizes delivering exceptional service, accurate data entry, and collaboration with back-office staff to maintain smooth patient flow. Monday–Friday 10:00 AM–7:00 PM, onsite at 10105 Banburry Ave, Las Vegas.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1+ year of customer service experience with strong communication skills in person.
  • 1+ year of Microsoft Office experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional service to all patients and visitors.
  • Greets patients on arrival and manages wait times.
  • Complete check-in/check-out tasks including insurance verification.
  • Collects co-pays and issues receipts.
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate with providers.
  • Maintain and file medical records and ensure logs are up to date.
  • Answer phones and direct calls, take messages as needed.
  • Ensure waiting room cleanliness and inform patients of delays.

The Associate Patient Care Coordinatoris responsible for general clinic office functions that support efficient and effective patient care including patient registration, insurance verification, collection of applicable co-insurance and/or co-payments and scheduling of diagnostic and follow-up appointments and answering phones.

Schedule:Monday- Friday 10:00AM - 7:00PM

Location: 10105 Banburry Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89134

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional service to all customers
  • Greets patients as they arrive and managers wait time
  • Complete check-in and check-out tasks to include insurance verification and copy required documents
  • Collects co-payments and issues receipts
  • Processes walk-in patients and visitors
  • Answers phones and schedules appointments as necessary, verifying correct visit type and primary care provider
  • Answer telephone calls, re-direct calls as appropriate, assist callers with questions or concerns, and take messages as needed
  • Manages medical records (maintains, files/scans, prepares for schedule)
  • Ensures all correspondence is scanned and/or filed, processes requests for medical records release and maintains appropriate logs, etc.
  • Responsible for waiting room management cleanliness, communicate pertinent information to patients and ensure all patients have been assisted
  • Work with back-office staff to ensure smooth patient flow
  • Resolve service issues and complaints, and defer to appropriate management or clinical personnel when necessary
  • Assist co-workers and team members with duties when requested, to include but not limited to, floating to other areas
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1+ yearsof customer service experience with strong communication skills in person
  • 1+ years of Microsoft Office experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in a medical office or medical environment
  • 1+ years of experience with data entry
  • Previous experience with medical insurance
  • ICD 10 and CPT coding experience
  • Prior experience with EMR computer applications
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology
  • Working knowledge of general office procedures

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $29.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
