St. Joseph's Health in Paterson, NJ, is seeking a Part-Time Nights Patient Care Associate for the Med/Surg/General Surgery units. You will assist patients with daily activities and basic care, while helping maintain a safe, clean environment.

High School diploma or equivalent.
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or PCA/PCT diploma with NHCA certification.
PCA/PCT diploma with 6 months to 1 year of healthcare experience or equivalent.
Evidence of Nursing Fundamentals coursework or Nursing Assistant training completion.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with activities of daily living and provide basic care.
Maintain a safe and clean environment for acutely ill patients.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent
Basic Life Support certification within 6 months of hire
PCA/PCT (Patient Care Associate/Patient Care Technician) diploma with 6 months to 1 year of previous work experience within the last 6 months in an healthcare setting OR
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification OR PCA/PCT diploma with National Health Career Association certification OR
Enrolled in an accredited nursing school program and has completed Nursing Fundamentals level coursework in lieu of PCA/PCT diploma/certification OR
Provides evidence of completion in Nursing Fundamental level coursework OR Evidence of Completion in of a Nursing Assistant training program OR
