Job summary

Lakeview Community Church is seeking an Associate Pastor to work closely with the Lead Pastor to equip and empower the church body for multiplied Kingdom impact. The role offers potential growth in responsibility and leadership within a welcoming, multi-cultural setting.

The Associate Pastor will preach, provide pastoral care, lead Life Groups, and help shape outreach and discipleship pathways for varied spiritual maturity levels. Licensing with CMA is required.

Qualifications

• Masters of Divinity (or comparable)
• 3+ years pastoral ministry experience
• Licensing/Ordination with CMA (or sustaining accreditation)

Responsibilities

• Preach regularly as part of the preaching team.
• Collaborate with Lead Pastor to provide compassionate pastoral care.
• Lead Life Group ministry and local outreach strategy.
• Develop discipleship pathways for different spiritual maturities.
• Track discipleship effectiveness and improve with staff.

Associate Pastor

Position Description

The Associate Pastor will use his unique giftings, experiences, and passions, in partnership with our Lead Pastor, to equip and empower our church body to make a multiplied Kingdom impact. This role offers potential opportunity for growth in responsibility and leadership.

Qualifications

• Clear call to ministry & passion for the greater Putnam region
• Education: Masters of Divinity (or comparable degree/ in process)
• Experience: At least three years of pastoral ministry experience.
• Licensing/ Ordination: With the C&MA (or sustaining accreditation)

Primary Responsibilities

Pastoral Ministry

• Preach at a regular interval as a part of the preaching team.
• Collaborate with Lead Pastor to provide compassionate pastoral care to individuals as needed.

Life Groups/ Disciple Making

• Lead Life Group ministry.
• Lead local community outreach strategy.
• Collaborate with ministries to create appropriate discipleship pathways for different stages of spiritual maturity.
• Track discipleship effectiveness and implement improvements with staff team.

Leadership & Ministry Development

• Resource ministry leaders, providing practical tools, guidance and encouragement.
• Identify and develop leaders.

Compensation
