Job summary

KeystoneCare in Pennsylvania seeks an Associate Palliative Care Medical Director to provide clinical leadership and oversight for the palliative care program, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care across settings.

The role offers flexibility to be full-time or part-time based on candidate availability, with a focus on education, mentorship, and program development while ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with a current, unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license.
• Board certification in Hospice & Palliative Medicine (preferred) or relevant experience in palliative care, hospice, oncology, or internal medicine.
• DEA registration (active and in good standing).
• Minimum of 2–3 years of clinical experience (palliative or hospice preferred).
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical oversight and clinical guidance for the palliative care program.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (nursing, social work, chaplaincy, etc.) to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
• Conduct patient evaluations and ongoing clinical management for palliative care patients.
• Support symptom management, advance care planning, and goals-of-care discussions.
• Participate in program development, quality improvement initiatives, and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Provide education and mentorship to clinical staff.
• Collaborate with referring physicians, hospitals, and community partners.
