Job summary

Simpson Strong-Tie in McKinney, TX is seeking a Packer to pack, label, and box items as directed by leadership, including all HDG items returned from processing.

The role emphasizes maintaining safety and cleanliness in the workspace and is full-time, non-exempt with a pay rate of $18.00 per hour. Requires a High School Diploma or GED and OSHA forklift training, plus 1 year related experience. Comprehensive benefits and quarterly bonuses are offered.

Qualifications

• : High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
• : OSHA Powered Industrial Truck Training is required
• : 1 year related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and training
• : Tools: Ability to operate manual air and electric power tools.
• : Reading Comprehension: Ability to read, write and follow simple instructions.
• : Problem Solving: Ability to deal with problems involving variables encountered during the manufacturing process.
• : Measurements: Able to use and read a tape measure to within 1/32 tolerance. Able to use protractor to measure to accurately measure angles.
• : Safety: Able to consistently prioritize safety by demonstrating a safe work practices by promoting a safe work environment. Follow all safety and quality policies.
• : Attendance: Able to consistently demonstrate reliable, punctual attendance.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, see, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. This role operates large equipment while standing for approximately 8-12 hours, regularly twisting and bending in a repetitive motion. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may frequently lift, carry, push and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and heavier weights with proper equipment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The job may risk exposure to heat and/or cold, loud noise levels, vibration, and moving mechanical parts.

WORK STATUS & LOCATION

This full-time, non-exempt position is located in McKinney TX.

RELOCATION

Relocation will not be considered for this position.

PAY

$18.00 / hour
