Job summary

Abbott in Columbus, OH is seeking an Associate Packaging Engineer to join our Nutrition division. You will perform primary and secondary packaging testing and lead packaging programs for products like Similac, Pedialyte, and Ensure.

You will collaborate with Packaging Operations, Labeling, Procurement and QA, travel domestically and internationally, and contribute to testing method development, validation, and cost-optimized packaging solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Packaging, Engineering or related field.
• 1 year of experience in a technical packaging role.
• Experience with packaging test equipment and software.

Responsibilities

• Execute primary and secondary packaging testing for R&D and operations.
• Issue test reports based on data collected during testing.
• Develop and validate packaging methods and structures.
• Collaborate across Packaging Operations, Labeling, Procurement and QA.
• Support capital projects and cost-optimization opportunities.
