Perform routine Quality Testing of Gas Producers, Power Turbines, and Reduction Gearboxes to ensure conformance to Solar and/or customer specifications.
Successful candidate will work 2nd shift
Responsibilities:
Promote and demonstrate support of all safety and lean initiatives.
Assist with the installation and removal of gas turbines and accessories.
Assist with green run and final performance acceptance test of gas turbines.
Observe, record, and review test data.
May support more senior Technicians in the resolution of skid or package issues.
Assist in setup and use of all computerized data acquisition systems.
Attend all available training programs as directed by management.
Works under the general direction of a qualified Test Technician, Test Team Lead, Test Supervisor or Test Engineer
Minimum Skills and Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
2 years of mechanical experience, whether professional or personal.
Ability to operate shop equipment, bench tools, hand tools, and inspection and test equipment (micrometers and multimeters)
Knowledgeable in the use and application of simple electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
Ability to resolve problems and make sound decisions
Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed to meet training, production and team goals
Willing to take initiative to improve technical expertise through hands-on, on line and instructor led training
Ability to follow written or hands-on technical training/instruction
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Prior manufacturing experience
Able to communicate effectively within a cross-functional environment
Basic computer skills
Summary Pay Range:
$45,809.00 - $68,713.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location,job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
