Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical or Materials sciences.
• Level 2: 2+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
• Level 3: 5+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
• 2+ years of working with fatigue and damage tolerance analysis.
• 1+ years of experience with Spectrum Generation.
• 1+ years of experience full-scale testing and/or other structural and material testing plans.
• 1+ years of experience with application of classical stress intensity solutions.
• 1+ years of experience with PATRAN/NASTRAN, StressCheck, NASGRO, AFGROW.
• Experience writing technical reports.
• Requires ability to obtain US Security Clearance; US Citizenship required.
• Some positions may require Special Program Access; US Citizenship only.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, integration and documentation of structural fatigue and fracture requirements.
• Verify structural integrity using analytical methods, FE models, simulations and other analysis tools across the product lifecycle.
• Develop test plans and configurations; support test execution and analyze/report results to verify requirements.
• Define and document certification and test results for customers and regulatory agencies.
• Lead investigations into failures and improvements for in-service products.
• Develop analytical processes/tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency.
• Plan and execute tasks within constraints of schedules; work under minimal direction.

Positions will be located at one of the listed locations: Berkeley, MO; Hazelwood, MO; St. Louis, MO; St. Charles, MO; St.; Mascoutah, IL.
Position Responsibilities:

• Lead development, integration and documentation of structural fatigue and fracture requirements. Verify structural integrity by using and developing analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance.
• Lead development of test plans and configurations, supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
• Define and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied.
• Support in-service products by leading investigations into failures and analyzing improvements.
• Develop analytical processes/tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort.
• Able to plan and execute tasks within constraints imposed by internal and external customer schedules.
• Work under minimal direction
  

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
• Level 2: 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
• Level 3: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
• 2+ years of working with fatigue and damage tolerance analysis
• 1+ years of experience with Spectrum Generation
• 1+ years of experience full-scale testing and/or other structural and material testing plans
• 1+ years of experience with application of classical stress intensity solutions
• 1+ years of experience with PATRAN/NASTRAN, StressCheck, NASGRO, AFGROW
• Experience writing technical reports
• This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
• Some positions may require the ability to obtain Special Program Access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.
  

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Active Secret Clearance
• Experience with structural analysis on military aerospace products
• Experience with MIL-STD-1530 (Aircraft Structural Integrity Program) and its requirements
• Experience working on MRB (Materials Review Board) activities related to aircraft structures
• Strong oral and written communications skills

Summary pay range Level 2: $85,000 – 115,000
Summary pay range Level 3: $103,700 - $140,300
