GENERAL FUNCTION

The Associate Optometrist is a leader in the organization, delivering the brand promise, experience, and the organization’s key results through collaboration and teamwork. Ensures all patients receive the highest quality optometric care by performing clinical protocols while maximizing results and practicing growth through strong partnerships with the MOD, SMM, and team. The Associate Optometrist delivers key performance indicators and serves as a leading ambassador of the brand inside and outside the organization, driven by passion and high standards to always go above and beyond.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure executional excellence and winning results in partnership with the MOD and store team.
  • Demonstrate commitment to exceeding results through strong KPI management and high accountability.
  • Promote the brand as the leading optical provider within the community.
  • Operate as a successful stakeholder with all organizational and local market leaders.
  • Prioritize patient/customer needs and deliver excellent service.
  • Strive to exceed expectations on all KPIs.
  • Provide unsurpassed patient service by ensuring staff follow the Service Process steps:
    • Address all patients' visual lifestyle needs
    • Make eyewear recommendations based on patient needs
    • Explain each step of the eye exam and listen carefully to patients
    • Use tools and visual aids to ensure patient understanding
    • Communicate the importance of annual eye exams and schedule next appointments in TAB
    • Conduct services according to protocol and standards of care
  • Ensure accurate diagnosis and appropriate recommendations for all patients.
  • Establish positive doctor-patient relationships.
  • Leverage technology effectively to enhance patient experiences.
  • Maintain office systems.
  • Keep State Licensure in good standing and meet Continuing Education requirements.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members using company programs.
  • Deliver timely and constructive feedback to associates.
  • Create a positive, motivating culture aligned with corporate values.
  • Encourage decision-making at the closest level to the patient.
  • Build partnerships through leadership and involvement.
  • Maintain a professional office appearance.
  • Ensure a safe working environment for all.
  • Lead by example.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Doctor of Optometry degree
  • Commitment to quality patient care
  • Knowledge of current optometric theories and technology
  • Problem-solving skills
