GENERAL FUNCTION

The Associate Optometrist is a leader within the organization, delivering the brand promise and organizational results through collaboration and teamwork. They ensure patients receive high-quality optometric care by following clinical protocols, and contribute to practice growth by partnering with the MOD, SMM, and team. The Associate Optometrist serves as a brand ambassador, driven by passion and high standards to exceed expectations.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Ensure executional excellence and positive results in partnership with the MOD and store team.
2. Exceed results through strong KPI management and accountability.
3. Promote the Brand as the leading optical provider in the community.
4. Collaborate effectively with all organizational leaders and local market stakeholders.
5. Prioritize patient/customer needs and deliver excellent service.
6. Strive to exceed all KPIs.
7. Provide unsurpassed patient service by addressing visual lifestyle needs, making eyewear recommendations, explaining procedures, and utilizing visual aids to ensure patient understanding.
8. Encourage regular eye exams and ensure appointments are scheduled.
9. Conduct services according to protocols and standards of care.
10. Provide accurate diagnoses and appropriate recommendations.
11. Build positive doctor-patient relationships.
12. Leverage technology to enhance patient experiences.
13. Maintain office systems and state licensure, and fulfill Continuing Education requirements.
14. Train and guide team members effectively.
15. Provide timely, motivating, and constructive feedback to staff.
16. Create a positive, motivated workplace culture.
17. Empower staff decision-making at the closest level to the patient.
18. Lead through example and maintain a professional appearance.
19. Ensure a safe environment for staff and patients.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

1. Doctor of Optometry degree.
2. Commitment to quality patient care.
3. Knowledge of current optometric theories and technology.
4. Strong communication and listening skills.
5. Problem-solving abilities.
6. Organizational skills.
