Job summary

Sanford Health in Beaver Dam, WI seeks an Ophthalmic Assistant to perform preliminary screening examinations, assist ophthalmologists with procedures, and collect patient data for diagnosis and treatment. The role supports the physician and patient care team in a busy clinic.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma with training provided on required skills, healthcare experience or ophthalmology exposure, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School graduate preferred.
• Training provided for required skills.
• Health care experience or training in ophthalmology/optometry preferred.
• Basic Life Support Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary screening examinations and assist the physician with procedures.
• Collect subjective and objective ophthalmic data from patients and communicate to the doctor.
• Support patient care from intake to post-procedure and ensure accurate documentation.

Job Summary

Perform preliminary screening examinations and/or tests to facilitate diagnosis and treatment by the provider. Assist the physician with procedures and care of the patient. Qualifications

High School graduate is preferred. Will provide training and education for required skills.

Previous health care experience or training in ophthalmology, optometry, and/or optical office preferred. Basic Life Support Certification required.
