Job summary

Viatris is seeking an Associate Operator - Slitting for the 2nd shift in St. Albans, Vermont. The role involves visual inspection, setup and operation of production equipment, and maintaining clean, labeled, and organized manufacturing areas as part of a regulated biotech operation.

The candidate will document runs, assist training, and perform routine calibrations while meeting safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• HS diploma required; up to two years experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical, communication, and organizational skills; MS Word/Excel and Lotus Notes experience recommended.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to work with respirators and in standing positions.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect the product during operation, observe equipment for proper operation, seek maintenance assistance, and suggest improvements.
• Assist with setup and running of Production equipment.
• Prepare and clean manufacturing rooms and equipment for inspection and keep work area tidy.
• Ensure all products are labeled and stored correctly.
• Document material runs via Batch Production records, In-Process Sheets, Log Books, and Time Sheets.
• Assist in training new personnel under supervisor guidance.
• Perform calibration on scales, line meters, coating ovens, and micrometers as instructed.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to stoop, climb ladders, or stairs, stand or sit for extended periods of time. Ability to wear a respirator. Ability to hear an alarm. Ability to identify small defects. Ability to distinguish between colors.Exact compensation may vary based on items such as skills, experience and location.
