The Associate, Operations (Mailing / Messenger) is responsible for pick-up and delivery of messages, documents, packages, and other items between offices or departments within an establishment or to other business concerns. This position works on-site and reports to Minillas Building in Bayamon and/or Oriental Center in Hato Rey.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Pick-up and deliver letters, important business documents, or packages that need to be sent or received with priority.
  2. Receive daily internal correspondence that comes in suitcases and distribute them among the units in the Minillas building in Bayamón.
  3. Collect all the correspondence of business units in the building in the evening to prepare the bags for pick up by Island Wide.
  4. Receive and store all office supplies orders received in the building.
  5. Receive and dispatch all the orders for office supplies that are requested by different areas of the building through email.
  6. Visit insurance agencies to collect checks prepared for insurance claims.
  7. Visit the car lot twice a week to collect documentation of Repo units and checks from sales in auctions.
  8. Load vehicles with listed goods, ensuring correct loading and taking necessary precautions with hazardous goods when needed.
  9. Plan and follow the most efficient routes for delivering goods.
  10. Sort items to be delivered according to the delivery route.
  11. Other duties may be assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Two (2+) years of administrative or clerical experience; experience in mailing or messenger roles highly preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may substitute formal education.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and writing skills.
  • Ability to understand and follow directions effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Proactive problem solving, organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask while maintaining quality standards.
  • Professionalism and composure in challenging situations.
  • Basic MS Office skills (Word, Excel).
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Vehicle in excellent condition with valid liability insurance and a clean driving record.*
  • Valid driver's license issued by the Puerto Rico Department of Transportation and Public Works.
  • Cell phone required for regular contact and coordination.*
  • Available to work rotating schedules until 10:00 pm.

*Car and cell phone allowances are included as part of total compensation.

WORK AUTHORIZATION & ELEGIBILITY:
  • Legally authorized to work in the US is required. This position is of indefinite duration and requires candidates to have permanent or ongoing work authorization.
  • Employee is responsible for maintaining eligible work authorization throughout his tenure with the organization.
