Associate Neurology Account Manager - Boston, MA

Vanda Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: VNDA) is a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on developing and commercializing novel therapies to address high unmet medical needs and improve patients' lives. We are seeking an Associate Neurology Account Manager to join our innovative sales team. This role reports to the Neuroscience District Sales Manager and aims to exceed sales goals by providing value through our products and services.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Execute and promote products aligned with sales strategy in the assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on sales and strategy activities.
  • Analyze local market conditions, develop strategies, and monitor performance to optimize product use.
  • Maintain current knowledge of products, disease states, competitors, and reimbursement policies.
  • Manage resources such as budgets and time efficiently within the territory.
  • Communicate persuasively using advanced selling and negotiation skills.
  • Identify and leverage advocacy channels.
  • Secure product access and reimbursement as needed.
  • Manage travel and promotional budgets.
  • Complete monitoring and reporting, including expenses and calls, using approved systems.
  • Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Meet industry credentialing requirements for healthcare providers and facilities.
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects as required.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • BS or BA degree with GPA > 3.0.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, with a proven track record of exceeding results.
  • Strong relationship skills and knowledge of the territory preferred.
  • Ability to travel, including overnight stays.
  • Willingness to travel to HQs, training sessions, and meetings outside normal hours.
  • Residence within the assigned territory.
