Job summary

Oriental is seeking an Associate, Mortgage Servicing (Insurance) to manage invoices, payments, and renewals for Hazard, Flood, HO6, and Optional Insurance products. The role ensures policies remain active and compliant by processing payments and maintaining records for audits and regulatory deadlines.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and 1+ year of related experience. Bilingual Spanish/English skills are essential; the role is on-site in the US (Puerto Rico).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field required.
• 1+ year of experience in accounting, invoice processing, insurance administration, mortgage servicing, or related functions required.
• Experience in mortgage servicing, escrow administration, insurance operations, or related banking functions highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel, required.
• Advanced written and verbal communication in Spanish required; English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process invoices and payments for policy renewals, including Hazard, Flood, Private Elements (HO6), and Optional Insurance products.
• Manage policy renewals within established timeframes based on policy type and property requirements.
• Maintain and update insurance information for new loans requiring hazard and flood coverage.
• Monitor assigned payees and vendors to ensure policy renewals remain current and coverage requirements are met.
• Respond to audit requests and provide required documentation within established regulatory deadlines.
• Process policy cancellation requests and coordinate related activities with insurance carriers.
• Manage insurance agent appointment letters and perform related system maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to insurance administration activities.
• Other duties may be assigned.

The Associate, Mortgage Servicing (Insurance) is responsible for managing invoices, payments, renewals, and policy-related activities for Hazard, Flood, Private Elements (HO6), and Optional Insurance products. This role ensures insurance policies remain active and compliant by processing payments, maintaining accurate records, coordinating with insurance carriers and vendors, and supporting regulatory and operational requirements. The position works on-site and reports to San Juan, Puerto Rico.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field required.
• One (1+) year of experience in accounting, invoice processing, insurance administration, mortgage servicing, or related functions required.
• Experience in mortgage servicing, escrow administration, insurance operations, or related banking functions highly preferred.
• Minimum education and experience requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel, required.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills in Spanish required; effective written and verbal communication skills in English strongly preferred.
