Job summary

Bluemercury is seeking an Associate Merchant to elevate our competitive position by selecting merchandise and building a distinguished assortment across store and online. You will work with vendors, plan assortments, and collaborate across Planning and Merchandising to achieve sales, gross margin, and turnover targets.

You will analyze sales trends, respond to market changes, and implement vendor-specific strategies to meet customer demand in a luxury beauty environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor performance and develop action plans to mitigate risks and respond quickly.
• Plan, manage, and control inventory including ROF to optimize sales and margin.
• Create compelling assortment and collaborate with VM for planograms and displays; regionalize as needed.
• Negotiate returns and vendor allowances.
• Execute and reconcile order/item creation and shipping management.
• Collaborate with Stores, Marketing, and Digital to optimize assortment and drive sales.
• Forecast demand with Planning and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
• Stay informed on beauty trends, competitors, and emerging brands.
