Job summary

Lane Bryant in Ohio is seeking an Associate Merchandiser to support the merchandising strategy and product assortments, enabling the team to meet financial goals.

You will collaborate with planning, product development and design to ensure a smooth vertical process, while managing sample ordering and tracking to drive profitability.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years in a merchandising-related role for a fashion retailer.
• Bachelor’s degree in fashion merchandising, retail management or business-related field preferred.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Ability to build and sustain relationships quickly.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Support merchandise strategies and product assortments to achieve financial plans.
• Collaborate with planning, product development, and design to ensure flow in the vertical process.
• Assist in sample ordering, tracking, management, and handoff.
• Analyze industry, consumer and competitor trends and report insights for future product selection.
• React in-season to trends, develop upside strategies, and drive sales and profit objectives.
• Monitor retail metrics and coordinate promotional cadence, color/size buys, and quantities.
