Job summary

Avalere Health in New York, NY is seeking an Associate Media Planner to support the creation, execution and monitoring of media plans for assigned clients and campaigns.

You will assist in learning procedures and processes to ensure day-to-day account success, while collaborating with planners and senior staff to deliver results. This entry-level role emphasizes growth in media math, research, and cross-functional teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with related coursework in advertising, marketing, and/or communications.
• 0-1 year media planning/buying experience (relevant internship a plus).
• Proficiency with Microsoft programs, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Help develop media plans; work closely with media planners and supervisors to develop holistic communications plan.
• Use qualitative and quantitative research to develop consumer insights, roles of channels, budget allocations, and begin to develop analytical skills.
• Compile research and competitive data that will be reviewed by the teams and clients to ensure client is reaching target audience.
• Learn to utilize syndicated resources/programs and master basic media math.
• Develop tactical components of client media campaigns, such as flow charts, trafficking spreadsheets and budget trackers.
• Work collaboratively with Planners at all levels to craft RFPs and brief Investment teams on insights and strategies.
• Oversee and coordinate resolution of billing and discrepancies within designated timeframe.
• Participate in team brainstorming sessions
• Handle day-to-day client requests along with the team
