Job summary

Vertiv in Westerville, OH is seeking an Associate Mechanical Engineer to provide design engineering support for NPD, VAVE, and continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years of SOLIDWORKS experience in sheet metal design.
• Strong 3D modeling, detailing and drawing using SOLIDWORKS.
• Experience generating and managing Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Understanding of Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and change management processes.
• Strong verbal and written English communication.
• Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Support NPD, VAVE, and product improvement projects.
• Develop concept and detailed mechanical designs for sheet metal components and assemblies.
• Create and maintain 3D models, assemblies, drawings, and documentation in SOLIDWORKS.
• Generate and manage BOMs and product structures.
• Execute ECOs and support change management processes.
• Prepare complete design packages with models, drawings, and BOMs.
• Collaborate with global teams to meet project objectives on time and in quality.
• Work independently while managing assigned deliverables.
