Job summary

California Hydronics Corporation (CHC / FlowTherm) is seeking an Associate Mechanical Engineer in Hayward, CA to support our sales, business development, and fabrication teams with custom fluid handling and HVAC system design. You will review plans, generate flow diagrams and 2D/3D drawings, and help ensure regulatory compliance (NSF/UL) while visiting job sites as needed.

Qualifications

• BSME with HVAC focus; minimum 3 years in mechanical/HVAC engineering.
• Experience with HVAC load calculations, piping, and friction losses.
• Proficiency in CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Revit) and Bluebeam/Adobe.

Responsibilities

• Support sales and business development with equipment take-offs and technical submittals.
• Review plans and produce flow/PID drawings and 2D/3D drawings and equipment control schemes.
• Maintain regulatory compliance (NSF, UL) and participate in client/pre-production meetings; conduct occasional site visits.
