Job summary

CHC FlowTherm in Hayward, CA seeks an Associate Mechanical Engineer to support sales, business development and fabrication teams with custom fluid handling and HVAC system design. This full-time role offers growth and an ESOP-driven environment.

You will perform equipment take-offs, prepare 2D/3D drawings, review specifications, and help ensure regulatory compliance. A BS in Mechanical Engineering and 3+ years in HVAC design are preferred, with CAD/SolidWorks/Revit proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (BSME) or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years in mechanical/HVAC engineering.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC load calculations, piping systems and friction loss calculations.
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks or Revit; Bluebeam/Adobe and Microsoft 365.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) or CAD proficiency certificates preferred.

Responsibilities

• Technical support for sales and business development with equipment take-offs and custom applications.
• Design and document review of consultant/constructive plans, specs and schematics.
• Produce 2D/3D drawings and equipment control schemes for projects.
• Ensure regulatory compliance (NSF, UL) and provide field support during installations.
• Attend client and pre-production meetings and assist site visits as needed.
