Job summary

Revvity is seeking an experienced assembler for complex electro-mechanical assemblies and precision testing in a manufacturing setting. The role requires adhering to ISO standards, following detailed procedures, and collaborating with engineering on assembly protocols.

Responsibilities include assembly, testing, and process cross-training across product lines, with emphasis on quality, dexterity, and adherence to lean manufacturing principles.

Qualifications

• Lean manufacturing experience.
• General computer skills and MS Office (Word/Excel).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP.
• Prior work experience in an ISO manufacturing environment.
• Assembler experience with complex electro-mechanical assemblies and instrumentation.
• Excellent manual dexterity for intricate assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Assembles and repairs various highly complex technical electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Tests the functionality of equipment or sub-assemblies.
• Familiar with Lean manufacturing concepts and ISO procedures.
• Cross-trains processes within product lines.
• Works on semi-routine tasks with deviation recognition.
• Receives general instructions for routine work; detailed instructions on new tasks.
• Follows procedures (photodocs) to meet quality specs.
• Assists engineering staff in refining assembly protocols and fixtures.
• Uses experience to plan and achieve daily/weekly goals.
• Works under general supervision with some creativity and latitude.
• Works in a clean room environment.

Job description

Summary

Performs functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments or equipment. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Works with engineers in conducting experiments.

• Familiar with standard production concepts, practices, and procedures within the manufacturing field such as Lean and ISO


• Cross training of processes within product lines and across product lines


• Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required


• Normally receives general instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new assignments


• Must follow procedures (photodocs) to meet quality specifications for each job and not deviate from procedures


• Assists engineering staff in refining assembly protocols and design of equipment and fixtures


• Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish daily/weekly goals


• Works under general supervision, a certain degree of creativity and latitude is required


• Working in a clean room environment

Basic Qualifications

Physical Requirements & Expectations

• Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40lbs. unassisted and frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit and stand for long periods of time.


• Be able to reach, above and below shoulder level, flex/extend neck and have good hand and finger dexterity.


• Specific vision abilities required by this job may include color, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.

Compensation Range

The hourly pay range for this full-time position is $18.00 - $22.00. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Please note that base pay is only one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range allows for the successful candidate to have an opportunity to progress within the position and develop at our company. This base pay range does not take into account bonuses, equity, or other benefits which may be applicable and are dependent on the level and position offered.
