Job summary

Celgard, LLC is hiring an Associate Manufacturing Tech – Night Shift in Concord, NC to support the production team on a 12-hour, 2-2-3 schedule.

Operate and troubleshoot various film manufacturing equipment, monitor product quality, maintain logs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams while upholding safety procedures.

Starting pay is $18.50/hour plus a $1.20 shift premium with overtime at time-and-a-half; a $1,000 sign-on bonus is paid in two installments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to multi-task and operate multiple machines.
• Good attendance and safety record.
• Strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate various types of industrial film manufacturing equipment including extruders, laminators, ovens, deplyers, slitters, coaters, mixers, and core slabber.
• Prepare chemical solutions and monitor chemical processes; test product quality.
• Troubleshoot production problems and maintaining logs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and comply with GMP/ISO standards.
• Communicate with team members and cross-functional groups; support continuous improvement.

About the RoleWe are seeking an Associate Manufacturing Tech - Night Shift to be a part of the production team based in Concord, NC. This position directly reports to the Production Supervisor and does not supervise others.Starting Pay & Sign-on BonusThis position starts at $18.50/hour plus a $1.20 shift premium for working night shift. There is opportunity for overtime, which is time and a half. $1000.00 Sign-on bonus with the first half being paid after the first week of employment and the second half after 6 months of employment.ShiftThis is a night shift position working 5:50pm-6:00am (12 hour shifts) on a 2-2-3 schedule. The site runs 24/7.QualificationsEducation Background:High School Diploma or equivalent required.Knowledge & Experience:Minimum of 1 year of industry experience in a manufacturing, production, or similar environment requiredGood attendance and safety records.Demonstrated ability to multi-task and set-up / operate multiple machines.Computer skills and the ability to learn different software programs and scanners.Key Attributes:Must have a stellar work ethic and the demonstrated ability to work in a team environment as well as the ability to work independently.Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge.Strong interpersonal skills with proven experience in working with cross functional teams, programs, or projects.Strengths in self-motivation, collaboration, initiative, sense of urgency, and attention to detail.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with all levels within the organization. Ability and willingness to participate in and lead meetings.Able to implement, follow, and continuously improve safety, environmental, and health guidelines and procedures.The ability to work on a high performing team creating an environment where open and honest communication is the norm.Possess strong analytical troubleshooting and problem resolution/solving skills.Key AccountabilitiesOperate various types of industrial film manufacturing and processing equipment including: Extruders, Laminators, Ovens, Deplyers, Slitters, Coaters, Mixers, and Core Slabber. Utilize PIVs (powered industrial vehicles)Prepare chemical solutions and monitor chemical processes. Use instruments to test the quality of chemical products to ensure they meet standards and specifications.Troubleshoot production problems or malfunctioning instruments.Practice excellent safety and environmentally sound habits.Maintain a clean and organized work environment that meets facility standards.Ensure general quality of all work meets company standards.Maintain records and interface with multiple computer software programs for purposes of material transactions, traceability, process control, on-line inspection, testing, and statistical process control.Perform routine optical inspection and product quality tests according to written specifications and standards.Maintain accurate logbook entries of key process and equipment events, and provide in-depth observations to process and development engineers as required.Clean assigned production equipment and perform operator-level preventive maintenance (i.e. change filters, check fluid levels).Communicate effectively with team members and other groups within the Celgard organization. Act as communication link with other departments when assigned.Maintain training and cross-training proficiencies as required to ensure compliance in execution of daily activities and departmental expectations.Train others (new and current employees) as needed.Ensure breaks and lunches are taken per policy and time is not abused.Support managing all data and working with Supply Chain and operations to ensure production throughput is maximized.Identify areas of potential process improvement and communicate accordingly.Comply with current Good Manufacturing Practices regulationsMaintain a professional and productive relationship with area management and co-workers.Participate in cross-functional teams. Lead meetings as needed.
