Job summary

IDEX is seeking an Associate Manufacturing Engineer to join the Oak Harbor, WA site on a 100% onsite basis. You will support New Product Introduction and manage part numbers, BOMs, and routings in our ERP system while creating CAD drawings in SolidWorks.

The role blends hands-on shop floor work with engineering analysis and interaction with operators, vendors, and internal customers. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 1–3 years of manufacturing experience, with

Responsibilities

• Support New Product Introduction activities and part implementations.
• Create Part Numbers, BOMs, and Routings in ERP.
• Create prints from specifications using CAD tools (SolidWorks).
• Update labels and manage change control and post-change reviews.
• Coordinate with process engineers and troubleshoot equipment as needed.

Candidates must be able to comfortably interface with production operators and technicians and also professionally and effectively communicate with vendors and internal customers, as needed. Strong attention to detail and accuracy is necessary to be successful in this role.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Support New Product Introduction activities, such as:Project Management for new part implementationPart Number, BOM, and Router creation within ERP systemPrint creation (Solidworks) from established specificationsImplement label database updatesCoordinate validation activities with process specialistsDocumentation peer reviewManage Customer-requested engineering changesReview changes for manufacturability and cost impactsRedline creation and submissionPrint updatesChange approval management and post-change reviewOther technical support activities, as needed, such as (but not limited to)Troubleshooting equipment such as heat shrink and label printersWriting purchased part specification documentsWork instruction creation and maintenanceProcess standardization and continuous improvementEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelors Degree in an Engineering Discipline is preferredMinimum 1 to 3 years experience supporting a manufacturing companySolidWorks design experience, or aptitude to learn is requiredFamiliarity with Manufacturing ERP systems is a plusDISCLAIMER:Major responsibilities include the principal functions of the job.
