Job summary

LanceSoft is seeking an Associate Manager, Technical Accounting & SEC Reporting in Richmond, VA for a 6-7 month hybrid engagement. You will research U.S. GAAP and SEC rules, prepare 10-K/10-Q disclosures, and draft audit-ready memoranda.

You will partner with finance, legal, and external auditors to ensure accurate reporting and strong governance. The role requires a CPA or progress toward CPA, 5+ years in public accounting or SEC reporting, and experience with Workiva or Oracle FCCS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• U.S. CPA strongly preferred or progress toward CPA.
• Experience with SOX/disclosure controls and financial reporting systems preferred.

Job Description

The Associate Manager, Technical Accounting & SEC Reporting will research and apply U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements to complex business transactions and reporting matters. The role will prepare assigned disclosures and footnotes for Forms 10-K and 10-Q and develop clear, audit-ready accounting memoranda and supporting work papers. This position will partner with finance, legal, operations, external auditors, and other stakeholders to assess accounting, disclosure, control, and reporting implications. The role will use reporting systems, automation tools, and emerging technologies to improve reporting accuracy, efficiency, consistency, and control effectiveness. The position will manage multiple time-sensitive deliverables during quarterly and annual reporting cycles and identify opportunities to strengthen governance and streamline processes.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;U.S. CPA strongly preferred or progress toward CPA.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting and/or SEC reporting, consolidations, or technical accounting at a Fortune 500 company.
• Ability to research complex U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting matters and draft audit-ready technical memoranda and experience with filings, disclosures and tie-outs.
• Experience with SOX/disclosure controls and financial reporting systems such as Workiva, Oracle FCCS, or similar platforms preferred.
