Job summary

DXC Technology Company is seeking a Java backend engineer to develop and maintain applications supporting PCI compliance and vulnerability prevention.

Project work includes migrating Java 8 apps to newer runtimes, integrating Okta for Sabre migration, and advising peers on best practices while addressing Veracode findings.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Java backend development (SOAP, REST).
• Experience with Linux and Bash scripting.
• Familiar with cloud technologies (AWS/GCP) and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Experience with CI/CD (Jenkins, Maven, Git).
• Knowledge of unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, Spock, Groovy).
• Strong English communication skills.
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile/SCRUM.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java-based applications for PCI compliance.

Job Description:

Develop and maintain Java-based applications in support of PCI compliance and vulnerability prevention.

Projects include:

• Expand the integration of Okta in Sabre for migration.
• Migrate applications from java 8 to 11 and 17.
• Implement SAML2 migration for Sigle Sigh on.
• Remove vulnerabilities from application detected in Veracode.
• Serve as a consultant/advisor for other application developers on the team

Skills needed:

• Possess skills in any of the automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Python
• Experience in Java - backend (SOAP, REST)
• Commanding knowledge of Linux and Bash scripting
• Knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS/GCP, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
• Experience with CI&CD (Jenkins, Maven, GIT)
• Junit, Mockito, Spock, Groovy or other testing tools / frameworks
• Good communication skills in English, written and verbal
• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle management (Agile/SCRUM methodology)

Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $84,400 - $156,800.

Full-time hires are eligible to participate in the DXC benefit program.
