Job summary

DXC is seeking a Java backend engineer to develop and maintain applications supporting PCI compliance and vulnerability prevention. You will migrate Java 8 to newer runtimes and expand Okta integrations for migration projects.

You will remove Veracode vulnerabilities, contribute to CI/CD practices, and act as a consultant to the team in a fast-paced, in-person collaboration environment in the United States.

Qualifications

• Backend Java experience with SOAP/REST.
• Terraform, Ansible or Python automation skills.
• Linux and Bash scripting proficiency.
• Cloud technologies including AWS/GCP, Kubernetes, OpenShift.
• CI/CD tooling: Jenkins, Maven, Git.
• JUnit/Mockito/Spock/Groovy or similar testing tools.
• Strong written and spoken English communication.
• Understanding of Agile/SCRUM SDLC.

Responsibilities

Job Description:Develop and maintain Java-based applications in support of PCI compliance and vulnerability prevention.

Projects include:

• Expand the integration of Okta in Sabre for migration.
• Migrate applications from java 8 to 11 and 17.
• Implement SAML2 migration for Sigle Sigh on.
• Remove vulnerabilities from application detected in Veracode.
• Serve as a consultant/advisor on the team

Skills needed:

• Possess skills in any of the automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Python
• Experience in Java – backend (SOAP, REST)
• Commanding knowledge of Linux and Bash scripting
• Knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS/GCP, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
• Experience with CI&CD (Jenkins, Maven, GIT)
• Junit, Mockito, Spock, Groovy or other testing tools / frameworks
• Good communication skills in English, written and verbal
• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle management (Agile/SCRUM methodology)

Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $84,400 - $156,800.Full-time hires are eligible to participate in the DXC benefit program.
