This role is eligible to be performed remotely, however, if you reside within 100 miles of Organic Valley offices in WI, you will be expected to collaborate onsite in a hybrid fashion for 4-8 per month. If you reside outside of 100 miles, you will travel in 4 times/year for intentional collaboration and connection.

Summary Of Role
The Associate Manager, Retail Marketing supports the execution of retail marketing strategies, including online and instore tactics, for key MULO (Multi-Outlet) retail partners—Target, Kroger, and Walmart. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams and agency partners to bring retail marketing programs to life, ensuring alignment with national brand campaigns, product category and customer goals.
This individual will assist in the development of customer-specific strategies and be responsible for executing and tracking retail marketing programs. They will manage budget tracking and reporting, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure timely and effective program delivery.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Support Strategy Development: Collaborate with the Shopper & eCommerce Marketing Manager and cross-functional teams to contribute to the development of shopper and eCommerce marketing strategies for Target, Kroger, and Walmart.
- Program Execution: Partner with external agencies and internal teams to execute retail marketing campaigns across online and in-store channels.
- Budget Management: Track and manage retail marketing budgets, ensuring accurate reporting and adherence to financial guidelines.
- Performance Reporting: Monitor campaign performance, compile results, and assist in preparing performance recaps and insights for internal and external stakeholders.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Sales, Integrated Marketing, Category Marketing, Finance, and agency partners to ensure seamless execution of retail marketing programs.
- Retailer Engagement: Coordinate with retail media networks and third-party platforms (e.g., Roundel, Walmart Connect, Kroger Precision Marketing) to implement campaigns.
- Process Improvement: Support the continuous improvement of tools, processes, and workflows that enhance retail marketing execution.
Additional Duties And Responsibilities
- Strong visual, written, and verbal communicator.
- Demonstrate understanding and curiosity around CROPP’s competitive landscape and activation best practices as well as new opportunities.
- Strong project management & organizational skills.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Undergraduate degree in Business or Marketing (preferred).
- 3-5 years of Retail or Shopper Marketing experience, from strategy to execution to performance optimization and budget management (required).
- Experience in the CPG food industry within the MULO channel(required), familiarity with the natural retail channel, and experience in organic and/or dairy category (preferred).
- Familiarity with Mass / MULO retailers and retail media networks including RoundelTM, Walmart Connect, Criteo, Citrus Ad, and Kroger Precision Marketing.
- Passion for organic food and proven ability to be a change agent in the food industry
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data from Nielsen, IRI, SPINS, and provide actionable insights.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to serve as an influential, trusted, successful collaborator with various stakeholders across the organization.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Exceptional computer skills: Microsoft Office, presentation development.
- Ability to travel up to 15% of time
Base salary range: $73,424 - $97,104 per year
This salary range is exclusive of fringe benefits. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary bonuses. If you are hired at CROPP, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. Additionally, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that entry-level candidates to this role should expect to be at the lower end of the salary range and hiring at the maximum of the salary range is not typical.
