Job summary

Lite-On is seeking an Associate Manager- Production & Material Control to lead end-to-end production planning, material availability, and inventory control at our Plano, TX plant. You will partner with procurement, production, and demand planning to ensure on-time execution and optimized inventory levels.

This role requires deep experience in high-volume electronics manufacturing, strong MRP/ERP knowledge (SAP preferred), and proven leadership of cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering).
• 8–10 years in Production Planning, Material Control, or PMC in electronics manufacturing/EMS.
• Mandarin proficiency is highly preferred due to multilingual collaboration.
• Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (SAP preferred) and production planning processes.
• Proven experience in high-volume manufacturing and fast-paced operations.
• Understanding of inventory control, supply-demand planning, and shop floor coordination.
• Familiarity with ISO/QMS standards and structured manufacturing processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration in a global environment.
• Experience in new plant setup/ramp-up environments is a plus.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead production planning and scheduling to align output with demand and delivery commitments.
• Manage material planning and control to ensure timely availability of materials and WIP.
• Drive MRP/ERP planning processes with accurate BOMs and planning parameters.
• Monitor demand vs. supply, identify risks, and drive mitigation plans.
• Partner with procurement, warehouse, and production teams for smooth material flow.
• Oversee inventory management, cycle counts, stock accuracy, and working capital optimization.
• Track KPIs (OTD, inventory turns, plan adherence, shortages) and drive improvements.
• Support capacity planning and production loading for optimal resource use.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with Quality, Engineering, and Customer teams to resolve issues.
• Lead and develop a team of planners/material controllers with clear goals.
