Buck Mason is seeking an Email Marketing Lead to own the email channel from planning through reporting, collaborating with merchandising to craft story-led sends. You’ll shape product-first briefs that unify copy, creative, and product storytelling.
Based at Buck Mason HQ in Los Angeles, this full-time role emphasizes taste, brand consistency, and customer-centric communication. You’ll manage lifecycle flows, segments, and performance dashboards to drive revenue per send.
You’ll own the email channel at Buck Mason, including the calendar, the stories, the sends, and the numbers. You’ll work shoulder to shoulder with our men’s and women’s merchandisers to understand every product deeply: what it is, who it’s for, and how to tell its story to the customer with taste. You love clothes, you know our product cold, and you spend your days thinking about how to market it: which customer, which story, which moment. Your bar for taste is high, and every send clears it. You understand what Buck Mason stands for and you hold every email to those first principles. This role is based full time at our Los Angeles headquarters, in the room with the merchandising, creative, and CX teams you’ll work with every day.
Own the email calendar end to end: planning, briefing, build, QA, send, and reporting.
Partner weekly with men’s and women’s merchandising to turn the product pipeline into a story‑led send plan: launches, restocks, core franchises, seasonal edits.
Write and shape product‑first briefs so copy, creative, and merchandising all serve the same point of view.
Manage lifecycle flows and improve them on a steady cadence.
Build and maintain segments so the right customer sees the right product at the right time.
Work closely with CX to understand what customers are asking, loving, and confused by, and bring that back into how we communicate with customers.
Own the channel’s numbers. Revenue per send is the headline metric, backed by click rate, conversion rate, and unsubscribe rate. Every send has to earn its place in the inbox, and the numbers are how we know it did.
Report weekly on channel performance and act on what the numbers say to keep improving relevance and results.
Be the last line of defense on every send. Every detail meets the standard you set. If it isn’t there yet, you continue to iterate until it is.
1–3 years in email, CRM, lifecycle, or merchandising at an apparel brand.
Obsessed with product and product marketing. You know what makes a garment special and you can explain fabric, fit, and details in a customer oriented way.
Strong merchant’s instincts: you think in assortment, sell‑through, and what the customer will actually wear.
Customer centric. You think about the email journey as one story, from subject line to email body to landing page, and you make sure each step relates to the next.
A high bar for taste. You notice when an image, a line, or a layout is slightly off, and you fix it before anyone else sees it.
A high bar for brand first principles. You know what the brand is and isn’t, you can articulate why, and you say no to a send, a subject line, or a promotion that doesn’t fit, even when it would perform.
Comfortable in an ESP (Klaviyo preferred), with segmentation, A/B testing, and reading a dashboard.
Organized and detail oriented. You’re able to maintain the email marketing calendar and schedule emails well ahead of time.

Sasha Koehn and Erik Allen founded Buck Mason in 2013 to simplify the American wardrobe. Meeting as neighbors in Venice Beach, they started designing and selling clothes out of a small studio off Abbot Kinney Boulevard. Sasha built the website and Erik created the brand’s first collection of jeans and tees. Taking an architectural approach to design, they built each piece to last far beyond a single season. Obsessed with quality, they worked with local mills and factories to create the finest fabrics down to the thread. Today, Buck Mason offers a broad range of clothing and accessories with a continued commitment to making high‑quality, modern American classics.
