Job Description

BHE GT&S has an exciting career opportunity for an Associate LNG Technician (Operations), LNG Technician (Operations), or Sr LNG Technician (Operations) at our Cove Point facility located in Lusby, MD.

Responsibilities

Associate LNG Technician/LNG Technician (Operations)

• Perform duties as a plant field Operator proficient in all plant processes and utilities, including operating Distributed Control System (DCS) consoles and LNG process systems.
• Operate plant utilities and monitor LNG ship loading/unloading.
• Follow safety protocols, environmental safety operations, and security procedures.
• Record and evaluate operating data, report issues, and work with supervisors to resolve plant problems.
• Monitor steam piping systems and perform necessary repairs or adjustments.

Sr LNG Technician (Operations)

• Operate the LNG import/export and liquefaction/re-gasification terminal, including all process systems and utilities.
• Follow LNG plant operating procedures and safety practices.
• Operate DCS consoles, monitor LNG ship loading/unloading, and oversee plant utilities.
• Provide direction to LNG Technicians and ensure safety and environmental compliance.
• Perform site inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs, including working at heights and on offshore platforms.
• Complete confined space and fire brigade training as required.

Qualifications

Associate LNG Technician (Operations): 0-2 years' experience in industrial or power plant operations, recent processing environment experience preferred.

LNG Technician (Operations): 3 years' experience, LNG and control room experience preferred.

Sr LNG Technician (Operations): 5 years' experience, full knowledge of analytical chemistry, environmental regulations, troubleshooting, and site inspections.

Education & Certifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must maintain TWIC, CPR/First Aid, and Respiratory Fit Test certifications.

Additional Information

Must be able to work offshore, lift at least 25 lbs, and perform essential functions with or without accommodations.
