Role Description The Associate Litigation Attorney will work on personal injury and civil litigation matters from intake through resolution in a full-time, on-site role based in Queens, NY. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery responses, and preparing case strategies under the supervision of senior counsel. The role involves appearing in court for conferences and motions, participating in depositions, assisting with trial preparation, and engaging in settlement negotiations. The attorney will communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, and courts, maintain organized case files, and ensure all deadlines and procedural requirements are met. The position requires a proactive, detail-oriented approach and a commitment to delivering high-quality legal work.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Law, including personal injury and civil litigation principles, and familiarity with applicable procedural and substantive rules.
• Experience drafting and arguing Motions, including dispositive, discovery, and procedural motions in state courts.
• Comfort working within Courts, including attending conferences, hearings, and managing court filings and calendars.
• Exposure to Trials, including trial preparation, assisting with exhibits and witness outlines, and supporting trial strategy.
• Experience with Depositions, including preparing outlines, attending or conducting depositions, and reviewing transcripts.
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active New York State bar admission (or pending admission with eligibility to practice under supervision).
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail and organization.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, including clear client communication and professional interaction with courts and opposing counsel.
• Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
