Position Details

We are seeking an experienced (2-5 years) civil litigator to join our Chicago office, focusing on General Liability and Toxic Tort Practice Groups. Ideal candidates will have excellent research, writing, and litigation skills.

Responsibilities

1. Manage cases proactively from inception to resolution in state and federal courts.
2. Draft pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and conduct legal research.
3. Maintain regular communication with clients and provide updates.
4. Conduct legal analysis, evaluate cases, and recommend strategies.
5. Coordinate with expert witnesses and collaborate on case development.
6. Attend depositions, court hearings, mediations, and trial preparations.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice in Illinois; additional states a plus.
• 2-5 years of litigation and Toxic Tort experience in state and federal courts.
• Ability to manage cases proactively and independently.
• Strong work ethic, self-management, and teamwork skills.
• Excellent research, communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional client service and contributing to client development.
