The ideal candidate is a motivated, collaborative professional with a passion for ecological design, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to lead people and projects. A strong documented experience in developing construction documents and performing construction administration will be essential for this role.

As an Associate Landscape Architect / Project Manager, you will take a leadership role within the firm, helping guide projects, clients, and team members while contributing to design excellence and practice growth. Responsibilities of this position will include but are not limited to:

  • Reviewing Designs with Principals and collaborating with design team
  • Managing project schedules, budgets, scopes of work, and fee proposals
  • Coordinating directly with clients, contractors, and consultants
  • Leading the development of construction detailing and AutoCAD drafting of projects ranging from residences to multifamily housing, public parks, and streetscapes
  • Mentoring colleagues and providing technical guidance on project work including design details/documentation standards, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, and 3D Rendering
  • Conducting site visits, construction observations, developing field reports, and punch lists
  • Providing marketing support on proposals and RFP review
  • Flexibility to perform some shared administrative tasks (we are a small firm and all help out a bit around the office)

As a small, collaborative office working in a hybrid environment, we value self-motivated team players who are comfortable taking initiative, managing multiple priorities, and guiding others. We are looking for someone who brings humor, energy, and enthusiasm to their work.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or masters degree in landscape architecture
  • Minimum 6 years of professional experience in Landscape Architecture
  • Demonstrated project management experience, including a strong track record of construction documentation and administration
  • Experience preparing construction documents in AutoCAD
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Plant knowledge and horticultural interest preferred but not required

  • Hybrid work environment: 3-4 days required working in office in combination with 1-2 days optional to work remotely each week (additional in-office time is welcomed and may be eligible for incentive bonuses)
  • We value your time and strive to maintain a 40-hour work week, but if occasional project deadlines warrant extra hours, we have a comp time policy in place
  • Paid time off provided for personal, vacation, and sick time
  • Benefits including medical, retirement, long-term disability, and life insurance
  • Annual continuing education allowance
