Qualifications

  • 2+ years sales experience, preferably in the landscape industry.
  • Demonstrate exemplary knowledge of landscape terminology, plant materials, and installation techniques.
  • Previous experience as a Client Representative, Production Coordinator, or Crew Leader preferred.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, and independently, including taking direction and constructive feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Manage client relationships from initial sale through weekly maintenance and serve as the One Point of Contact.
  • Initiate and attend Maintenance client presentations and meetings.
  • Coordinate with Production Coordinators and Crew Leaders to ensure client desires are met.
  • Prepare proposals, renewals, and contracts using standard templates.

Job Overview

Mariani Landscape is seeking an Associate Account Manager (internally rereferred to as an Associate Client Representative) to join our team. The Associate Client Representative will manage the client relationship, from the original sale through continued weekly maintenance, serving as \"One Point of Contact\" for clients of the Maintenance department. This position is responsible for bringing in new clients and increasing department revenue by servicing the needs and requests of our maintenance clients and providing detailed customer service.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and work standards.
  • Maintain established sales volume by keeping current with client needs, changing trends, and competitors; increase sales by following up on new leads and prospective clients.
  • Initiate and attend all preliminary and subsequent Maintenance client presentations and meetings.
  • Participate in onsite visits and walkthroughs with the client to ensure needs are being met.
  • Inform clients of relevant issues regarding their property and involve them in relevant decision making.
  • Follow the sales process (i.e. using Maintenance agreements, dissemination of information to admin and production, etc.).
  • Manage all communication and correspondence with current and prospective clients, ensuring a \"One Point of Contact\".
  • Recommend and advise clients on additional services or enhancements.
  • Oversee and guide weekly maintenance and enhancements to ensure end result will exceed client expectations and enhance Mariani's reputation.
  • Assists in the scheduling of jobs with the Production Coordinators.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation (i.e. client history, sales reports, client contact list, etc.).
  • Initiate and approve all necessary work orders and change orders necessary to communicate with the maintenance department.
  • Prepare proposals, renewals, and contracts using appropriate standard templates.
  • Monitor the billing process and Accounts receivable.
  • Work with the Crew Leaders to ensure any desires or information expressed by the client is completed accurately.
  • Communicates with Administrative Support team, Accounting Team, Production Coordinators, and Crew Leaders as required to update project status.
  • Works with the Administrative Support team to ensure accurate and timely process flow.
  • Works independently and within a team on special and nonrecurring, as well as ongoing projects.
  • Ensures efficient process and information flow for workload requirements.
  • Consistently evaluate work and determine if further steps are needed to meet internal and external client expectations.
  • Maintain high standard of quality of all work performed.
  • Participate in weekly departmental and training meetings.
  • Complete appropriate paperwork in a timely manner and ensure accuracy of all paperwork, including, time-off requests, and other necessary information.
  • Arrive for each work day on time and prepared.
Non-essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Participate in and contribute to Mariani initiatives.
  • Leads in the orientation/training of new Team Members.
  • Assists in training team members by sharing experience and client feedback, including one-on-one training with the Crews.
  • Assist other team members in the performance of their assignments.
  • Recommend process improvements and areas to improve our service offerings to clients.
  • Participate in other department and business functions as needed (i.e. the snow removal process in emergencies, holiday retail, administrative support, etc.).
  • Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • 2+ years sales experience, preferably in the landscape industry.
  • Demonstrate exemplary knowledge of landscape terminology, plant materials, and installation techniques.
  • Previous experience as a Client Representative, Production Coordinator, or Crew Leader preferred.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the \"Mariani\" approach to Maintenance and follow Mariani standards.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, and independently, including taking direction and constructive feedback from team members, as well as providing feedback to other team members.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to perform duties wherever volume deems it necessary.
  • Minimize non-productive time and fill slow periods with activities that will enable you to prepare to meet the future needs of internal and external clients.

Position Range: $55,000 - $65,000
