Job summary

The University of Arkansas in Fayetteville seeks an Associate IT Security Analyst to plan, coordinate, and implement security measures for information systems. This role focuses on regulating access, preventing data compromise, and assessing vulnerabilities across software, hardware, and networks.

Eligibility requires a bachelor's degree. Preferred certifications include CEH / CCNA Security / Security+ / Cloud+ / GSEC, with Azure Security experience and risk assessment skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution of higher education.
• Current CEH, CCNA- Security, Security+, Cloud+, GSEC, or similar certifications compatible with ISO 17024 or US DoD 8570.01.
• Experience with Azure Security.
• Experience with assessing application and/or system risk.
• Experience dealing with Phishing or Spear Phishing attacks.
• Experience with penetration testing or Red teaming.
• Experience in the execution and management of Information System’s (IS) incident response and investigations.
• Experience with at least one programming, scripting language, or SQL.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures for information systems.
• Regulate access to computer data files and prevent unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure.
• Analyze and assess vulnerabilities in infrastructure (software, hardware, networks).
• Investigate tools to identify vulnerabilities and recommend solutions; test for compliance with security policies.
• Maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships and reliable attendance.
