Job Description

We are seeking an associate level Product Manager to join our Investment Solutions team. This role will be primarily responsible for the ongoing development and advancement of MSCI Wealth Manager, working closely with investment teams, advisors, operations, technology partners, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into effective platform capabilities.

Beyond MSCI Wealth Manager, this individual will contribute to the broader Investment Solutions technology ecosystem, including applications and workflows supporting investment research, portfolio construction, portfolio rebalancing, and investment implementation.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with financial technology experience who enjoys solving complex problems, working across teams, and taking ownership of products from requirements through implementation.

Key Responsibilities
Product Ownership & Platform Development

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve functionality, workflows, usability, and adoption.
  • Translate business and investment requirements into clear functional requirements, user stories, workflows, and development priorities.
  • Manage and prioritize product enhancements in partnership with internal technology teams and external vendors.
  • Coordinate testing, implementation, documentation, and rollout of new functionality.
  • Monitor platform performance and user feedback and proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Investment Solutions Technology
  • Support product strategy and development across the firm's broader Investment Solutions technology ecosystem.
  • Contribute to applications and workflows supporting:
  • Investment research and research management
  • Portfolio construction and analysis
  • Investment implementation and related advisor workflows
  • Develop an understanding of how these systems interact and identify opportunities to improve integration, data quality, efficiency, and the overall user experience.
  • Help evaluate new technologies and capabilities that could enhance the firm's investment platform.
Stakeholder & Requirements Management
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Investments, Wealth Management, Technology, Operations, and other functions.
  • Lead or participate in requirements-gathering sessions to understand business problems and translate them into actionable product requirements.
  • Communicate effectively between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Maintain clear documentation of requirements, decisions, workflows, testing results, and product enhancements.
  • Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail and follow-through.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of professional experience, preferably in financial technology, wealth management, asset management, investment technology, product management, business analysis, or a related field.
  • Experience working with financial or investment technology platforms; experience within an RIA, wealth manager, asset manager, or financial technology company is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with investment management concepts and workflows, particularly portfolio construction, portfolio management, rebalancing, research, or investment implementation.
  • Experience gathering business requirements and translating stakeholder needs into technology or product solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with both business users and technical teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, technology, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Experience with MSCI Wealth Manager is beneficial but not required; candidates with experience using comparable wealth management, portfolio management, or investment technology platforms are encouraged to apply.
What We’re Looking For
The successful candidate will be:
  • An effective communicator who can work comfortably with investment professionals, advisors, technology teams, vendors, and senior stakeholders.
  • Diligent and detail-oriented, with the discipline to manage requirements, testing, documentation, and implementation accurately.
  • Intellectually curious, with an interest in understanding both the investment process and the technology that enables it.
  • A strong problem solver who can take an ambiguous business need, structure the problem, and help develop a practical solution.
  • Ownership-oriented, with the willingness to become the go-to resource for the products and workflows they support.
  • Collaborative and relationship-driven, while still being comfortable driving projects forward and holding stakeholders accountable.
  • Organized and execution-focused, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
