Associate, Investment Analytics and Data (Full Stack Software Engineer)

About the Role

The Research Department at Dimensional develops high-quality research on investments and financial markets, supporting the firm's long-term strategy. The Investment Analytics and Data (IAD) team manages investment data, supporting portfolio management and analysis to enhance operational efficiency and client value. The Portfolio Analytics team within IAD seeks an Associate to support key initiatives in the investment process, building systems and tools for data analysis, management, and monitoring of portfolios.

Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with the investment team to understand investment solution development.
2. Develop core portfolio management software on a full stack team.
3. Participate in code reviews, design sessions, and mentoring within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
• Interest and experience in software development.
• Proficiency with object-oriented programming languages such as C#, Java, etc.
• Experience with front-end frameworks like Angular, Typescript, React, Vue, etc.
• Experience writing automated tests.
• Knowledge of domain-driven design concepts.
• Experience managing large financial datasets with SQL, including database design and optimization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and intellectual curiosity.
