Pottery Barn in San Francisco is seeking an Associate Inventory Planner to support supply and demand management of inventory. This role involves tracking purchase orders, monitoring transfers, and preparing business reports to enable intelligent decision-making.
The ideal candidate will excel in Microsoft Excel, possess strong organizational and communication skills, and will work onsite Monday through Thursday with a remote option on Fridays. The role offers a competitive salary and benefits including a generous discount and healthcare options.
The Inventory Management team is responsible for maintaining inventory levels across the fleet and in the distribution center. They handle all sales and margin forecasting and use that information to project future inventory needs. Based on these forecasts, the team places new orders and reorders to ensure the right products are available for the customer.
Associate Inventory Planners support the business with the tactical responsibilities of supply/demand management—tracking purchase orders from point of origin to our Distribution Center, monitoring transfers, and preparing reports that help enable the team to make intelligent business decisions. As mastery is achieved in these areas, Associate Planners will then be introduced to advanced planning strategy and responsibilities, including planning ownership of a product category. This role reports to a Planner. This role requires being onsite in our office Monday through Thursday, and remote option on Friday.

The expected starting pay range for this position is $53,600 – $63,000. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job‑related factors permitted by law. In addition to competitive pay, compensation may include a variety of other components like benefits, paid time off, merit, and bonus opportunities.
