Job summary

UCHealth in Parker, CO is seeking a skilled IR technologist to perform high-quality interventional procedures in a nine-room facility. The role involves preparing patients, assisting physicians in cardiac and vascular interventions, and ensuring safety and image quality.

The position offers day shifts and a pay range based on experience. Applicants should have an applicable health-science education and ARRT certification; BLS is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; health-science related education.
• ARRT certification preferred to enhance candidacy.
• Experience in IR/cardiac imaging is favorable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for procedures by reviewing history, draping and positioning, and administering contrast within scope.
• Assist physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac/vascular interventional procedures and related imaging.
• Inform patients about procedures and equipment, ensuring understanding and monitoring for status changes.
• Prepare equipment and supplies, select exposure factors, apply radiation safety standards and report malfunctions.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and judgement with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Education
