Job summary

UCHealth is seeking a skilled IR technologist to perform high-quality interventional procedures with a strong commitment to patient care and safety. The role spans a broad spectrum of IR procedures in a nine-room facility designed for complex vascular and neuro interventions.

Responsibilities include patient prep, assisting physicians, imaging support, and strict adherence to radiation safety standards, in a fast-paced, supervised setting. UCHealth offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent in a health science program.
• Post-secondary education in a health science field or ARRT(R)/Cardiac Technologist program; ARRT preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification from AHA or ARC; valid through start date and 60 days after hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for procedures: review history, drape/position, prep sites, administer contrast or meds within scope.
• Assist physicians with diagnostic/therapeutic cardiac or vascular interventional procedures and related imaging.
• Support imaging procedures and address image quality issues; ensure patient understanding of procedures.
• Prepare equipment and supplies; select exposure factors and imaging parameters; apply radiation safety standards.
