Job summary

The University of Utah is seeking Associate Instructors for Campus Camps in Salt Lake City. Instructors will develop and lead week-long camps, either half-day or full-day, across STEM, arts, cooking, and more for ages 6-17.

Instructors must commit to at least one full week, attend orientation, and collaborate with Youth Education to craft learning objectives and curricula. Positions are part-time, campus-based, with flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in topic being taught.
  • Experience working with kids in a classroom setting.
  • Ability and desire to work in a temporary work-setting.
  • Demonstrate good character, integrity and adaptability.
  • Self-directed, punctual and highly organized.

Job Summary

The Campus Camps program is content-driven experiences available both in-person and online. Camps are designed to inspire students to explore their unique interests. Camps draw upon the resources of the University of Utah to provide campers ages 6-17 with numerous hands-on learning opportunities in a fun, comfortable, and welcoming environment.

Our instructors are responsible for developing and facilitating week-long (half-day or full-day) summer camps across our Campus Camps program. They teach one or more camps throughout the summer, depending on their interest and availability. Typically, our instructors are interested in a specific STEM -related topic; however, we also offer camps like creative arts, cooking, outdoor recreation, and more!
