Job summary

PetIQ – Omaha seeks an Associate Supplier Relationship Manager – Projects to keep our innovation pipeline moving on schedule. You will coordinate supplier calls, manage purchasing for new items, and support cross-functional launch readiness from development through to launch.

You will own sample processing, track lead times, and maintain ERP/MRP data. Expect collaboration across teams, regular status updates, and opportunities to drive cost savings and process improvements.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in purchasing, supply chain, supplier management, or project coordination.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems and purchasing processes.
• Strong organization, detail orientation, and cross-functional communication.
• Bachelor’s degree in SCM, Business, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Owns end-to-end sample processing and tracking for active innovation projects, including dielines, costing, launch timing and lead times.
• Acts as primary contact for supplier calls on innovation projects, keeping alignment on status, timelines, and requirements.
• Issues and manages purchase orders for raw materials, components, packaging, and finished goods to ensure on-time delivery and cost targets.
• Monitors supplier performance (on-time delivery, lead time, quality) and resolves discrepancies with suppliers and internal teams.
• Prepares and supports Innovation meetings, including materials, agendas, logistics, updates, and follow-up actions; updates the Asana board for visibility.
• Provides recurring project-status communications to cross-functional partners and leadership about risks and changes in the portfolio.
• Supports launch readiness by setting up new items, supplier data, and lead times in the ERP/MRP system for proper integration into Supply Chain and Production Planning.
• Offers surge capacity as new projects enter the queue and identifies cost savings and process improvements with suppliers and internal departments.
