Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking an Associate, Information Security Systems Engineer for Colorado Springs to help secure complex networks and systems, guiding security infrastructure and evaluating security products. You will support firewalls and IDS/IPS implementations and work with engineering teams to uphold information assurance standards.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and strong knowledge of TCP/IP and network security topics.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of TCP/IP and routing protocols.
• Knowledge of LAN/WAN networking and security infrastructure (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, IPSec, VPNs).
• Knowledge of Computer/System Security topics such as Antivirus, Authentication, Authorization, Access Control, Cryptography, SSO, Business Continuity Planning and Application Security

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and oversight in assessing security infrastructure and network and systems design to ensure system/network security
• Identifysecurity risks, threats and vulnerabilities of networks, systems,applicationsandnew technologyinitiatives
• Provide oversight in the development, testing and operation of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, enterprise anti-virussystemsand software deployment tools
• Develop policies and procedures for securing the system infrastructure and applications
• Develop complex technical and programmatic assessments, evaluate engineering and integrationinitiativesand provide technical support to assess security policies,standardsand guidelines
• Perform product evaluations, recommend and implement products/services for network security
• Interact with clients and provide recommendations on information assurance engineering standards, implementationdependenciesand changing information assurance related technologies
