Job summary

Giro Sport Design is seeking an Associate Industrial Designer to contribute to concept generation and development across cycling and snow products. You will create renderings, CAD models, and prototypes while collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams.

The role emphasizes consumer-focused design, production handoff, and evolving Giro's design language for future products. Irvine, CA office-based with a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or related discipline.
• 0–2 years of professional industrial design experience.
• Proficiency in Rhinoceros, Blender, SolidWorks or similar 3D modeling tools.
• Strong sketching, visualization, and concept development skills.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, including injection molding, blow molding, and soft goods construction.
• Strong verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Generate a broad range of innovative design concepts in response to product briefs and insights.
• Create sketches, renderings, and visuals that convey design intent.
• Develop and refine 3D CAD models to explore form, ergonomics, and manufacturability.
• Create physical prototypes using internal and external fabrication resources.
• Document design files, drawings, BOMs, and development packages.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product Development, and Brand teams to meet performance and manufacturing objectives.
• Participate in user testing and consumer feedback sessions to inform design decisions.
